La Película del Punk Rock fue filmada por Don letts el sonidero del Club Roxy con una cámara super 8 durante los primeros días del movimiento punk del Reino Unido, principalmente durante los 100 días en 1977 en las tocadas de punk que se armaron en The Roxy club en Londres.

En la película tocan en vivo The Clash, Sex Pistols, Wayne County & the Electric Chairs, Generation X, Slaughter and the Dogs, The Slits, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Eater, Subway Sect, X-Ray Spex, Alternative TV y Johnny Thunders and the Heartbreakers. Con escenas tras bambalinas de ciertas bandas, tales como Generation X, The Slits y Siouxsie and the Banshees,  también se incluye.

El acetato doble producido por radio pirata fm con oficinas en tepito ciudad de México no incluye las versiones de las rolas en vivo de la película ya que el sonido de la misma carece de calidad auditiva, en pocas palabras es pésimo el audio, solo es una recopilación de las bandas que aparecen en la película, al oír el disco pirata me di cuenta que las versiones son en estudio a excepción de algunas rolas el audio es aceptable, el disco lo pueden adquirir en tepito o en su tianguis de preferencia o más cercano a su cantón, en lo personal me pareció un muy buen material discografico, espero sea del agrado de la banda punk conocedora y culta.
