THE OPPRESSED

The Oppressed

just coz we got short hair
people think tha we don't care

*we wont show the white flag

stopped while walking home at fucking night

up on suss, a charge we're ganna fight
we're the ones who got the scars
and we'll fight from behind bars (Repeat*)

politicians income tax the dole

we been used, wont get no parole
sons of oi! you are no threat
just you hear my media friends (Repeat*)

RIOT

Riot!...

 There's a burning sky overhead
Kids on the street are seeing red
They're gonna set the city alight
All this boredom makes ém wanna fight

Riot riot on the street tonight
Riot riot gonna do it right
Riot riot gonna scream and shout
Riot riot that's what life's about

Who's to blame the rich or the poor
Fight the enemy fight the law
We'll stick together, we'll see it through
We're gonna riot, me and you

Street's can burn, governments too
We're gonna riot we're gonna see it through
We're gonna smash your thin blue line
We're doing ok, we're doing fine

LEAVE ME ALONE

 Walking home alone at night
When the bastards pull me in
Told them where I was going
And I told them where I’d been
But they wouldn’t listen to a word I’d say
They threw me into the van
So I spent a night in a cell
Doing the best I can

THEY WON’T LEAVE ME ALONE

I get shit for wearing boots

‘cause I’m not the same
I won’t wear no business suit
I won’t use my brain
They think I’m some kind of thug
Running around in a gang
I tell you, I’m no mug
I’m doing the best I can

JOE HAWKINS

see him walking down the street
doctor martens on his feet
levi jeans, ben sherman shirt
fuck with him and you'll get hurt

he's a skinhead and he don't care

marten boots and short cropped hair
he's a skinhead and he don't care about you

walking down on the brighton pier

long haired hippies filled with fear
crunch of bone as boots go in
joe's so proud to be a skin

prison couldn't change his ways

skinhead's back he's here to stay
so if you think you've got the suss
be a skinhead be like us

he's the king, king of the skins

whats his name? joe hawkins

GOVERNMENT

You don't understand us, you call us a fool,
You say we will be OK, if we obey your rule.
But then you oppress us, the SPG you sent...
Can't you see, we don't need, your government

[Chorus:]

Government, Government
We don't need your Government
Government, Government
We don't want your Government

We live with the riots, the violence on the street,

But the trouble that we see, you will never meet
Hiding in the corridors of your parliament
In your own democracy, in your government

URBAN SOLDIERS

Urban Soldiers back out on the street,
Kids in braces with their hair cut near,
you don't know 'em but you know their name,
Bootboys, suedeheads, they're all the same,

Urban Soldiers on the street,

Urban Soldiers kids you meet,
Urban Soldiers they won't run,
Urban Soldiers from no one,
Cause they're Skinheads

Up the town for a drink on a Friday night,

they'll be ready if you start a fight,
they're the new breed and they'll get stuck in,
Urban soldiers, they're gonna win
