Midnight
Between the lines I get it, all ready when you spoke to me last night,
Don't think I don't know what's going on here, and be sure I didn't
come to steal your life.
You leave before midnight, you're standing in the bright lights,
Don’t be afraid, don't be afraid to come back to me. You leave before
midnight, you're standing in the back lights, Don't be afraid, don't be
afraid to come back to me.
And in disguise I'll come to you, and darling tonight, you will walk
outside your soul, Don't be surprised if I told you. You´re not as
strong as you were told.
Cause no one's gonna know if you stay or if you go, If you do or if
you don't, at least you won't be alone, won’t be alone. Cause No
one's gonna know if you stay or if you go, If you do or if you don't, at
least you won't be alone, it won't be alone
Hideaway
There's a constant cry in the park, Baby lost his blue eyes in the
dark. He'd been working all night long behind the desperate lies.
He sleeps like a rock; and awakes with the sun To freeze the color of
the angel That watches over his shoulder.
[Chorus:] Hideaway, shy away, To keep you from the cool wind, help
you crawl through confusion, Make you break away.
And if this ain't enough You're gonna drown your head in misery, And
it's all a blurry memory.
There's a constant cry in the park, Baby lost his blue eyes in the
dark, He'd been working all night long underneath the desperate lies
[Chorus x2]
Street Child
We are the little ones who roam the underbelly Of the streets that
normal people walk. Wrong side of the tracks, the deep end of the
ocean, The color of the gypsies in the shadow night.
Darkness inside out seeps into your veins, Listen to the rain, The
only thing keeping you alive Is the gracious night.
[Chorus:] Let me go, let me sleep until forever Let me close my eyes
and hide until the never. Let me go, let me slip into the sky And
tiptoe into madness in a hollow cry.
'Cause no one ever told me I committed any crime And no one ever
told me how I went blind.
And all I ever wanted was a free mind, A guiltless conscience and a
place where I could fly.
I threw my cards out on the table And I put my neck out on the line.
I took the verdict I was handed And now I've served my time.
[Chorus x2]
